Cyber Security Awareness Training

In the modern world, everyone has an electronic (virtual) signature. Gone are the days of merely worrying about a paper trail. Today, you need to be concerned with your electronic trail: the digital footprint of online (Internet) activities, photos, emails, video chat, phone calls, texts, radio signals, and more that you leave everywhere you go. Worst of all, once a record of an event is logged electronically, it is seldom, if ever erased. This was our motivation to develop a Signature Reduction (SR) Program.

We offer professional training courses in:

Cyber Security Awareness for Everyone

Overview of Cyber Threat and basic concepts from the hacker’s perspective – explained in layman’s terms (or plain English). This is a short course where we cover concepts like social engineering, Social Media safety, password security, wireless technology tips, etc. to secure data and privacy whether at home or abroad.

Electronic Signature Reduction™ (ESR)

Our ESR courses are designed for individuals and organizations that travel frequently as part of their work duties, particularly to high-threat locations overseas.  This model allows technical and non-technical individuals to quickly learn techniques through hands-on practical exercises that can be applied immediately to their daily lives. We offer basic, intermediate, and advanced courses.

Personal Signature Reduction™ (PSR)

This course adds physical signature reduction to the cyber security techniques that we teach in our Electronic Signature Reduction™ classes. This course is more holistic in combining what we do physically with online activities.  It provides students with the mental tools necessary to de-escalate hostile situations, interact safely with service providers, and communicate effectively.

These courses consist of a mixture of classroom lecture, hands-on laboratories, and simple field evolutions that reinforce skills and instill confidence. environment, followed by labs in which the students install and configure customized hardware, operating systems, and software to mitigate threats.

We provide customized training packages based on location, organization’s requirements and time available.  Who should attend these courses:

  • Corporate Executives
  • Government officials
  • US employees working overseas
  • US students studying abroad

**The courses above are authorized for training to Five Eyes (FVEY) partners.

Let’s get to know your training needs and learn how we can help.

Although cyber security has been a hot topic for years, the average person is still very exploitable for an attacker. Whether it’s an organizational system or your own personal accounts, attackers know that people are often the weakest link in any cyber security posture. It doesn’t matter how much money you spend to defend yourself from cyber attackers if you, or someone else, will hand them access to your systems. This course will teach students everything they need to know to protect themselves. Whether the user is being targeted through social engineering or malware from across the world, this course will teach users to safeguard themselves and their devices, whether at home or abroad, to secure data and privacy for themselves and their employers.

The OTA ESR course is designed for individuals who travel frequently as part of their work duties, particularly to high-threat locations overseas, to provide a baseline of threat awareness and mitigation techniques. OTA uses a custom blend of Identity Management, Cyber security measures, Personal Electronic Device (PED) security, and communications security, delivered in a hands-on learning environment. This model allows technical and non-technical individuals to quickly learn techniques that can be applied immediately in their daily lives. Vulnerabilities are demonstrated to students in a classroom setting, followed by labs in which the students install and configure customized hardware, operating systems settings, and software packages to mitigate threats. Operational, support, technical, military, and civilian personnel will all benefit from the training.

The Personal Signature Reduction course is a 3-5 day training event that educates and exercises students who travel overseas to mitigate risks during official and personal business. These risks include: National and Local Law Enforcement (Immigrations & Customs/Foreign Intelligence Service/Local Police), interactions with service providers (rental car and hotel attendants, taxi drivers, other commercial vendors), and general local populace encounters. PSR utilizes a holistic analytical approach in evaluating each situation. Course provides students with the mental tools necessary to de-escalate and evacuate from hostile situations, interact efficiently with service providers without providing excess personal identifiable information (PII), and communicate effectively with the local populace. PSR cadre delivers effective training in the development of travel stories for official sensitive operations and uses multiple scenario-based events to exercise and teach students on effective actions to mitigate risk across the threat spectrum.

The OTA Basic 802.11 course is designed for ground operations personnel who survey, characterize, and track 802.11 networks and devices. Emphasis is placed on the Radio Frequency (RF) characteristics of the 802.11 protocol in both high and low frequency bands, as well as Management and Control frames. Classroom time is kept at a minimum to focus on developing hands-on understanding of operations. The objective is to train personnel who are capable of quickly and effectively surveying, characterizing, and geo-locating 802.11 devices of interest.

The OTA Advanced 802.11 course builds upon the Basic course by adding specific focus to target development. The objective is to develop experts at collection and analysis who can lead network development efforts. Students learn skills for defeating wireless encryption, reconstructing data frames, identifying online selectors and activities, logical network mapping, Internet-to-Physical selector association, identifying vulnerabilities and more. Classroom time is kept to a minimum to facilitate hands-on experience in an operational environment.

The OTA Basic Cellular course is designed for ground operations personnel who survey and characterize cellular networks and devices. Emphasis is placed on the Radio Frequency (RF) characteristics of various cellular protocols in both high and low frequency bands, as well as basic system operations and log analysis. Classroom time is kept at a minimum to focus on developing hands-on understanding of operations. The objective is to train personnel who are capable of quickly and effectively surveying, characterizing, and processing devices of interest.

The OTA Advanced Passive Cellular course builds upon the Basic course by adding specific focus to selector development. The objective is to develop experts at data gathering and analysis who can lead development efforts. Students learn skills for log analysis, multi-antenna operations, multiprotocol operations, and multi-system operation. Classroom time is kept to a minimum to facilitate hands-on experience in an operational environment.

In this course we teach you how to plan and carry out security measures to protect a company’s or organization’s computer networks and systems.  Students will learn and understand the process of installing software and deploying encryption, reporting breaches or weak spots, researching IT trends, educating the rest of the company on security—and even simulating security attacks to find potential vulnerabilities.

We will also teach you how to plan for cyber security incidents, creating contingency plans that the company will implement in case of a successful attack. Since cyber attackers are constantly using new tools and strategies, cyber security analysts need to stay informed about the weapons out there to mount a strong defense, and we help you build up that arsenal so that you’ll be ready for any threat.

The electronic warfare training course provides the basic Electronic Warfare (EW) foundation designed for analysts, engineers, electrical engineers, project managers and any other employees who may be involved with designing or deploying electronic warfare software and systems.

The OTA Radio Frequency, Antennas, Cables, and Amplifiers course focuses on basic and advanced

electronics, radio frequency application, and antenna construction using both field expedient and prefabricated equipment. Students will also learn basic RF cable construction and soldering skills to include the construction/modification of power solutions for LNAs as well as testing and repair of both constructed and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) antennas.

In this course, you will learn how to detect network compromise and defend against intrusion and network penetration attempts with a full array of software utilities, hardware infrastructure training, and advanced scenario testing so that you can protect your organization’s network from any kind of threat.
